We collect information directly from you, automatically through your use of our services, and specifically via the Track My Auditions Chrome Extension.

A. Data Collected via the Track My Auditions Chrome Extension

The Chrome Extension operates on a “least privilege” basis. It only accesses and transmits data when you perform explicit actions. The data collected and processed includes:

  • Webpage HTML & Audition Details: When you explicitly click the “Import Audition into Track My Auditions” button on supported casting platforms (such as Actors Access at actorsaccess.com or Casting Networks at app.castingnetworks.com), the extension reads and captures the HTML content of the audition details page. This includes audition dates, times, roles, project descriptions, casting agency names, and message/callback information.
  • Audition IDs: The extension extracts the unique audition identifier (such as msg_id or query parameters) directly from the webpage URL to index the imported record.
  • Authentication Cookies & Session Data: To match the imported audition to the correct user account, the extension reads the session authentication cookie (wordpress_logged_in_*) from trackmyauditions.com to verify your identity.
  • Local Storage Data: The extension stores your authenticated user ID locally in the browser’s secure chrome.storage.sync space to keep you logged in. This storage is completely cleared when you log out.

B. Personal Information (Website Account)

  • Account Registration: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, password, and payment information (processed securely via Stripe).
  • Audition Logs: Any data imported via the Chrome Extension or entered manually is saved to your account dashboard.

C. Automatically Collected Information

  • We may collect general analytics, IP addresses, browser types, and usage data to improve our services and monitor platform health.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data collected for the sole purpose of providing and improving the audition tracking services:

  • Core Service Functionality: To convert imported page content (HTML) into structured audition entries on your dashboard (including timelines, calendar dates, and callback reminders).
  • Session Management: To keep you logged in to the extension and sync your imported data with your account.
  • Customer Support: To troubleshoot technical issues.

We do not use any collected data for personalized advertising, profiling, or determining credit-worthiness.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure

  • No Third-Party Sharing for Extension Data: The Track My Auditions Chrome Extension does not share, sell, rent, or lease any of the user data it collects or accesses (including audition details and login sessions) with any third-party organizations, advertisers, or platforms. All data remains strictly within your private account on trackmyauditions.com.
  • Third-Party Payment Processors: Payment details are handled exclusively by Stripe, a secure third-party billing provider. Stripe handles your data in accordance with their own security policies.

  • Encryption in Transit: All communication between the Chrome Extension and our servers is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) HTTPS connections.
  • Database Security: User account data and imported audition records are stored in secure databases protected by standard network security controls.
  • Local Extension Security: Authentication data is stored locally in the browser’s chrome.storage.sync. It is secure and only accessible within the extension’s environment.

6. User Control, Rights, and Data Retention

  • Consent & Choice: The Chrome Extension only accesses third-party website pages when you explicitly choose to click the “Import” button. You can opt out at any time by not using the import button.
  • Logout / Storage Removal: Logging out of the Chrome Extension immediately clears all local authentication session data from your browser storage.
  • Data Access and Deletion: Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar guidelines, you have the right to access, edit, or delete any of your stored personal or audition data. You can delete individual auditions from your dashboard or contact us via our contact form to request complete account deletion.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
